Maintenance Supervisor (Mount Isa)

About the Role Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance, you will be responsible for the management and safe execution of maintenance activities across a heavy mobile equipment fleet, in accordance with mine safety standards, procedures and defined processes to deliver optimal production outcomes. This is a permanent opportunity, based at Poitrel Mine on a 7‐day rotating day/night roster (7 / 7). This role is ideally suited to an experienced Maintenance Supervisor ready to take the next step toward a Superintendent career pathway. It requires strong leadership capability, a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to lead crews through operational change and performance improvement. Responsibilities Oversee safe compliance with operating standards, procedures, work instructions and defined processes to achieve optimal outcomes. Lead and develop frontline maintenance teams to achieve high performance across safety, reliability and culture. Identify opportunities to improve the performance of people, processes and systems. Improve fleet performance through quality maintenance practices. Execute the maintenance plan. Liaise with the wider Maintenance team to develop, validate and challenge the scope of work, including preparation and isolation requirements and maintenance activities. Liaise with planners and schedulers to ensure the schedule is updated during execution to reflect performance against plan. Liaise with contracting partners for various activities. Support the Superintendent Maintenance with crew leadership, operational decision making and continuous improvement initiatives across the department. Qualifications Your background in a similar position or environment, together with exceptional communication skills and impeccable safety behaviour, will position you well for success in this role. Previous experience with CAT Heavy Earth‐Moving Machinery (793F Haul Trucks, D11 & D10 Dozers, 16 & 18M Graders). Demonstrated experience leading a maintenance team in a frontline supervisory capacity. A strong desire to progress into a Maintenance Superintendent position and take ownership of broader operational outcomes. Exceptional communication, interpersonal and people‐management skills. Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, including time management. Flexible or adaptable work style to thrive in changing environments and work requirements.
