No. ****** The Role Mount Isa Mines is advertising a residential Electrician role on the HV Distribution team, working a 7 on 7 off dayshift roster. As a qualified Electrician in the High Voltage (HV) department, you will maintain one of Queensland's largest privately owned HV Networks. Your primary responsibilities include: Routine maintenance of electrical equipment, breakdown works, and installation/replacement within switchyards and substations. High voltage equipment testing and commissioning of 132kV/33kV/11kV/3.3kV reticulation systems. Maintenance of electrical infrastructure such as battery charges, switchboards, power transformers, and circuit breakers. Assisting with switching operations and maintaining the power distribution network to ensure safe and reliable operation. Attending to breakdown repairs within the HV network. Applicants should demonstrate a flexible attitude, sound work ethic, excellent time management, and the ability to achieve results within specified time frames. About You Hold an Electrical trade qualification and the ability to obtain a Queensland Electrical licence. Hold a current manual driver's licence. Sound understanding of workplace Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S;). Experience in the HV and mining industry. Excellent troubleshooting and problem‐solving skills. Flexible approach, adaptable to change with high attention to detail. Ability to work well in a team environment. Protection relay testing experience is preferable. Switchboard maintenance, commissioning and testing experience. Experience in testing and commissioning of large and small power transformers. Experience in maintaining and testing indoor and outdoor switchgear. HV cable jointing and termination experience is preferable. Advantages Competitive remuneration packaged with 12% superannuation.
