IT Field Support Officer (Mount Isa)

IT Field Support Officer | 6-Month Contract Your new company You will be joining a large, operationally focused organisation providing essential technology support across multiple industrial sites in Mount Isa. The environment is hands-on and fast-paced, with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork and practical problem-solving. This is an prospect to gain real-world IT experience in a unique site-based setting.

Your new role As an IT Support Assistant, you will provide hands-on technology support across mine site locations in Mount Isa. This role is ideal for someone who is tech-savvy, interested in building an IT career, and keen to gain on-site experience. Full training will be provided on systems and processes.The role operates on a 5/2, 4/3 roster, working from 7:00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour lunch break. The position is expected to run through to the end of the year, with month-to-month extensions based on operational needs.Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing new computers for deployment, including installing standard builds and required software, testing, and re-boxing
- Dispatching computer hardware to other sites as required
- Delivering IT hardware across Mount Isa sites and assisting end users with setup when needed
- Providing basic on-site troubleshooting for hardware and software issues
- Delivering friendly and professional customer service to end users, both face-to-face and over the phone What you'll need to succeed

- A genuine interest in IT or technology and a willingness to learn
- Strong basic computer skills and confidence working with hardware
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks across multiple locations
- A current driving licence
