Shape Safer Care Across North West: Nursing Director Opportunity! Play a pivotal leadership role in advancing safety, quality, and clinical governance across North West Hospital and Health Service. As Nursing Director, you’ll lead the Healthcare Standards Unit, shaping system-wide improvements and empowering teams to deliver exceptional patient care. About The Role Provide strategic and operational leadership to drive excellence in safety, quality, and clinical governance across NWHHS. Reporting to the Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery, this role leads a dedicated team and works closely with executive and clinical stakeholders to strengthen systems, culture, and outcomes.
- Lead system-wide quality and safety initiatives, ensuring alignment with NSQHS Standards and embedding a strong culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide expert leadership in clinical governance, including incident management, risk identification, and performance monitoring to improve patient outcomes.
- Drive strategic planning and service delivery, overseeing workforce, financial, and operational management within the Healthcare Standards Unit. Benefits
- 1-year isolation bonus of AUD$3,605; 2-year bonus of AUD$10,815; and for the 3rd year (and each subsequent year) AUD$7,210 (pro-rata for part time employees).
- Two return airfares per annum for full-time employees (including spouse/dependents) or one return airfare per annum for part-time employees to the nearest east coast provincial city, in conjunction with recreation leave.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
- Long Service Leave and Sick Leave accrual.
- Tax savings through salary sacrificing options.
- Two weeks per annum leave; travel as required.
- Enrolment and conference costs for approved courses and conferences.

- Probation period may apply.
