Electrician (Mount Isa)

The Role As an Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out installation, maintenance, testing, fault finding and repair work across various electrical systems and equipment. You will play an important role in ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard while supporting operational and project requirements. Key responsibilities
- Installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment
- Fault finding and troubleshooting electrical issues
- Preventative and reactive maintenance activities
- Testing and commissioning electrical equipment
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety standards
- Attending breakdowns and responding to maintenance requests as required
- Maintaining accurate maintenance and service recordsWorking collaboratively within a team environment to achieve project and operational outcomes About You
- Electrical trade qualification
- Current Queensland Electrical Licence
- Current driver’s licence
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Experience within commercial, industrial, construction or maintenance environments
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail with a strong work ethic
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work Desirable but not essential
- Experience with switchboards, control systems or HV equipment
- EWP, Working at Heights or Forklift tickets
- Experience in testing and commissioning electrical equipment
