Roller Driver (Doomadgee Aboriginal Shire)

The Roller Driver is responsible for the secure and effective operation of compaction equipment to achieve specified density and surface finish outcomes in accordance with project specifications, quality requirements, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Operate rollers (padfoot, smooth drum, multi-tyred) safely and efficiently
- Carry out compaction works in accordance with ITPs, specifications, and engineer direction
- Achieve required compaction standards for earthworks, pavements, and subgrade layers
- Conduct pre-start checks and report defects or maintenance requirements
- Work collaboratively with graders, water carts, excavators, and site crews
- Follow site traffic management plans and airport/airside access controls where applicable
- Maintain accurate daily records (pre-starts, production, plant hours if required)
- Comply with WHS, environmental, and quality management systems Desirable
- Experience on airport or operational infrastructure projects
- Understanding of QA documentation and compaction testing processes
