Join our Intensive Bail Response and Youth Support Services team in Mount Isa to help create lasting change for children and families affected by the youth justice system. Responsibilities
- Leading and developing a passionate team, including providing qualified supervision
- Proactively building connections with local service providers including youth justice services and other specialist supports
- Advocating for young people and their families through local networks and engagement with government agencies
- Overseeing daily operations within the Bail Support programs and ensuring that practice, compliance and child safeguarding standards are met
- Ensuring compliance with service agreements, policies and procedures, and compiling relevant data to satisfy reporting requirements
- Travelling to all sites to support the delivery and evaluation of these programs Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills and a genuine passion to motivate and guide a high performing team to achieve collective goals and positive outcomes for children and young people
- Demonstrated experience working with youth at risk of entering or currently involved in the Youth Justice system, families requiring support to meet the needs of their young people, and with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities
- A Bachelor’s degree in a human services field, and/or significant equivalent experience
- Experience in rural community work Benefits
- Award rate salary (currently Level 6.1 – $55.72 per hour) plus full PBI salary packaging benefits
