Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Mount Isa)

About the role You will provide safe, compassionate, and person‑centred care within a dynamic rural and remote setting.
- Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care through effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in line with best‑practice standards
- Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes in a resource‑limited rural setting
- Demonstrate increasing autonomy, professional judgement, and accountability, including delegation and coordination of care Working with us
- Isolation bonus – 1 year AUD$3,605; 2 years AUD$10,815; 3rd year and beyond AUD$7,210 (pro rata for part time employees).
- Return airfare – 2 return airfares per annum (full‑time employees, inclusive of spouse/dependents) or 1 return airfare (part‑time employees) to the nearest east coast provincial city in conjunction with your recreation leave.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
- Tax savings through salary sacrificing options are also available. Plus 2 weeks p.a., travel as required and enrolment and conference costs for approved courses and conferences. We also offer staff accommodation (if eligible) or a private rental subsidy of AUD$82.50 per week for up to 17 months. - Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre‑employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
