Senior Practitioner - Men'S Behaviour Change (Mount Isa)

Senior Practitioner – Men's Behaviour Change Programs (Gulf communities) Overview Support men in Gulf communities (Normanton, Doomadgee, Mornington Island) to break cycles of domestic and family violence. Travel weekly between communities and facilitate group sessions while maintaining stakeholder relationships. Responsibilities
- Travel weekly to Doomadgee, Mornington Island and Normanton to facilitate Men's Behaviour Change group programs.
- Liaise with local communities, professionals, service providers and referral services to meet client demands.
- Role‑model and facilitate a learning culture, staying current with relevant research and programmatic themes.
- Identify, manage and monitor risks to program/service delivery, quality, staff wellbeing and child safeguarding.
- Maintain a caseload of clients and support their progress. Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working with men who have used violence, families experiencing domestic violence, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Degree in human services or significant equivalent experience.
- Experience in rural and remote community work.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the Gulf. Benefits
