Moolarben Coal mine is Australia’s largest thermal coal producer and has both Underground and Open cut operations producing over 21 million tpa. It has over 800 employees with employees residing in the beautiful Mudgee area, with all the facilities for a fantastic family lifestyle.
**Job Tasks and Responsibilities**: Based on site at Moolarben Coal Operations and reporting to the HR Superintendent, you will be a business partner lead for the HR Function to provide advice, support and services to managers and employees across a wide range of HR generalist functions.
**About the role**:
- Provide coaching, expert HR advice, policy and procedure interpretation to managers and employees.
- Develop, implement and promote company HR policies and procedures across the business.
- Ensure consistent HR practices across all sites.
- Build and maintain solid working relationships with your client group and across the organisation.
- Support stakeholders in the delivery of the annual people calendar of events, including performance, remuneration reviews and engagement surveys.
- Liaise with payroll and other corporate services to support managers and employees.
- Support managers with employee issues such as performance concerns, disciplinary matters and grievance resolution.
- Collect and analyse HR data to provide insights for decision making.
- Support HR projects and initiatives in line with HR strategies to improve organisation effectiveness and drive business outcomes.
**Skills and Experience**: **About you**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline—or equivalent experience in human resource management.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources generalist role
- mining or industrial experience preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of SAP to support HR transactions and data integrity.
- Solid skills in case management, project coordination, and record management.
- Proven ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements and other industrial instruments.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate, influence and negotiate effective outcomes with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Well organised, good attention to detail and strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience dealing with challenging stakeholders with empathy and discretion is required.
