- Coles. THE OPPORTUNITY The successful incumbent of this (Mat leave) 6-month fixed term Technical Procurement Officer role will be the key point of contact for our partner Coles, suppliers and City team members and will be instrumental in processing equipment order requests in line with delivery requirements and expectations.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure that equipment is ordered and delivered within designated timeframes.
- Request and manage comparative quotations and availability on equipment from suppliers and negotiate terms to the company’s’ targets.
- Comprehensive Database management and status tracking of all projects.
- Manage all placed order including potential equipment delays.
- Manage all capital / case equipment orders from start to finish while ensuring that delivery dates are achieved.
- Ensure a smooth communication flow to all parties and manage project deadline expectations.
- Prepare invoices to our partner form completed capital projects in line with the project management time-frame.
**To be considered for this role you will have / be**:
- Tertiary qualification in Purchasing/ Logistic/ Project Management (or similar)
- highly preferred.
- Proven experience in technical procurement, ideally in a complex and demanding environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to liaise with all levels within the organisation.
- Must have strong communication skills
- verbal & written.
- Must have strong analytical skills and a high level of initiative.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
