Zerella Fresh is one of Australia’s largest grower and packers of Carrots, Onions and Potatoes supplying Australia’s leading supermarket chains plus independents and exports. We are currently seeking experienced and motivated MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIANS to join our team on a full-time permanent basis, supporting operations at our Parilla site in South Australia. As a valuable member of our team, this position will play a vital role in the success of our operations. Reporting directly to the Lead Electrician you will be working in a packing facility workplace. An attractive remuneration package between $70,000
- $90,000 is available to the right candidates. Duties include but not limited to:
- Undertake scheduled servicing, testing and preventative maintenance for all company plant and equipment with electrical components.
- Diagnose faults using electronic testing equipment and perform operational maintenance of electrical equipment, wiring and control systems.
- Examine blueprints, wiring diagrams and specifications to undertake required electrical maintenance and repair.
- Assist with maintenance and continuous improvement of the equipment.
- Connect electrical systems to power supplies, testing continuity of circuit.
- Position and install electrical switchboards, repairing and replacing faulty wiring and defective parts.
- Instal, test and adjust electric and mechanical parts of machinery, selecting, cutting, and connecting wires and cables to terminals and connectors.
- Monitor the condition of electrical components.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of maintenance projects, working in partnership with the maintenance department.
- Ensure equipment is operating at high efficiency during peak season and manage breakdowns.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment in the off-season.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy workshop and other work locations.
- Maintain and service all tools and other workshop equipment.
- Maintain electrical inventory records and procure parts and equipment as required, in accordance with company process and procedure.
- All other requirements as directed to achieve business objectives. Requirements:
- Relevant Electrical Licence (essential)
- Trade qualification plus a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience OR at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Post trade experience in electrical services on low-voltage systems.
- Working knowledge of PLC operating systems installation and maintenance.
- Experience in motor switchgear, control, and variable speed drives.
- Confidence reading and interpreting circuit drawings and equipment documentation.
- Be able to fault find machines with PLCs, VSDs and electronic controls.
- Mechanically minded with strong problem-solving skills.
- Unrestricted Class C Drivers Licence.
- High Risk Work Licence (essential).
- Cultural adaptability and a willingness to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- A willingness to be hands on and participate in a broad range of duties, a strong work ethic is essential.
- Respect for others and pride in team’s performance.
- Commitment to ongoing learning.
