Ngarrindjeri Aboriginal Corporation (NAC) is seeking two dedicated, culturally driven, and operationally strong Project Coordinators to join our team in Murray Bridge. These vital roles operate under formal grant partnerships with the South Australian Department for Environment and Water (DEW) to deliver meaningful environmental and community participation outcomes across the iconic Lower Lakes, Coorong, and Murray Mouth (LLCMM) Icon Site. The Opportunities We are recruiting for two distinct but highly collaborative funded projects:

- Healthy Basin Healthy Coorong Coordinator: Focused on long-term water volume solutions, infrastructure coordination, and community environmental strategies for the Southern Basin.
- The Living Murray (TLM) Project Coordinator: Focused on the Living Partnerships Program, delivering targeted cultural governance and consultation milestones across the LLCMM Icon Site.

Key Responsibilities

- Cultural Governance & Engagement: Coordinate, host, and facilitate critical Kungun Yunnan Yarning Circles and Action Planning Groups to ensure Ngarrindjeri cultural knowledge directly shapes regional water strategies.
- Inter-Agency Representation: Act as the primary operational link with DEW’s Water Infrastructure and Operations division, and actively represent NAC’s interests on the CLLMM Community Advisory Panel (CAP).
- Community Communication: Translate technical water data and departmental feedback into plain language, producing engaging flyers, regional updates and articles for newsletters and social media.
- Grant Compliance & Reporting: Track environmental variations across the basin and compile detailed, high-quality Quarterly Progress Reports utilising government templates to meet funding obligations.

About You To be successful in either position, you will bring a unique balance of cultural respect and professional administrative capability:

- Cultural Connection: Ideally of Ngarrindjeri descent, with deep community ties and a demonstrated capacity to consult and sit respectfully with Elders.
- Technical Interest or Background: Experience or practical familiarity with Conservation and Land Management, Water Resource Management, or a related environmental field.
- Facilitation Skills: Proven experience managing group dynamics, leading community consultations, and synthesising diverse community voices.
- Strong Communication & IT Skills: Excellent written skills for formal government reporting alongside intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint for secure records management.
- Operational Readiness: Ability to maintain a full-time 38-hour weekly schedule, hold a valid driver's licence, and undertake regular travel across the basin for in office field collaboration.

- Employment Type: Fixed-term contract aligned with the 2025–2026 DEW Funding Agreement terms.

- Award Coverage: Classified under the Clerks—Private Sector Award (MA ) – Level 5 – offering above Award salary of $107,000 + superannuation.
