Sunshine Sugar currently has an opportunity for a Packing Machine Operator / Process Worker to join our team at our packaging plant located in Murwillumbah. Permanent role. What's involved Working in a team workplace, responsibilities include:
- Packaging machine equipment operations and associated tasks
- Receiving and Dispatching of inwards and Finished Goods as required
- Complying with HACCP and food safety requirements
- Ensuring product and packaging quality
- Ensuring chain of responsibility (COR) procedures are followed We are looking for
- ​​Current forklift licence with driving experience
- Experience working with a fast-paced packing line
- Demonstrated experience operating, setting up and maintaining process equipment OR willing to learn
- Mechanical aptitude
- Excellent time management skills
- Computer literacy
- Proven understanding of food safety (HACCP) (desirable)
- Sound problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Willingness to follow directions and work in a team environment
- Flexibility to work at retail plant or at sugar mill as required
- Ability to work in an environment with frequent exposure to noisy, wet, greasy and/or humid conditions, as well as heights
- Sufficient physical fitness, sight and hearing
