Driver/stablehand (Murwillumbah)

McColm Racing is a small established racehorse training complex in Murwillumbah. Situated on 5 acre’s, parallel to Tweed River Jockey Club and only 25 minutes to the Gold Coast.

Currently housing a small team of quality racehorses, looking for and experienced horseperson with a love for horses to help with horse transportation and stablehand duties.

You’ll come with experience handling horses and horse transportation.

You’re fit, energetic, extremely reliable, trustworthy and have exceptional attention to detail. Your easy-going nature and a positive ‘CAN DO’ attitude means you’re always willing to help out and can easily get along with other team members. You are capable of working independently and/or within a small team of dedicated people. You’re patient and respectful with horses and value their health and wellbeing. You’re looking for a position where you can feel part of a team, make a difference and feel valued for your skills and experience.

You’re come with experience in:

- Transporting horses and attending race days
- Walking/riding horses
- Washing, feeding, rugging
- Mucking out stables
- Grounds duties

Permanent or casual role available, above award wages (rates negotiable based on experience). Morning, afternoon and weekend shifts. Accommodation available if required.
