About The Position The Manager
- Building & Recreation provides asset management of Council's building and recreation assets, and Project Coordination team. The role is responsible for building and recreation works planning, asset management, works programming, project coordination, and the provision of development engineering advice. Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership of Council's Building and Recreation, and Project Coordination teams to ensure high level of accountability and a solid values-based culture.
- Ensure strategic planning for Council's building and recreation assets and associated infrastructure effectively identifies the community's future demand needs.
- Manage Council's capital works program to a best practice professional standard, within approved budgets and timeframes and ensure effective project planning, monitoring, and reporting.
- Provide best practice asset management of Council's building and recreation assets and associated infrastructure complying with all relevant legislation, standards, codes of practice, and guidelines.
- Provide professional and timely engineering advice and support for Council's Environmental and Planning functions. In managing building and recreation assets provide advice to internal customers and external stakeholders.
- Manage project coordination to support the delivery of Council's capital projects in organising programs, resources, contract administration, and activities. About You
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Project Management equivalent.
- Skills and experience in the use of MS Project or equivalent.
- NSW Class C Drivers Licence.
- Working knowledge of the relevant and applicable NSW legislation; e.g. tendering regulations in the NSW Local Government Act; EP&A; Act; Heritage Conservation; and Building Code of Australia (desirable).
- Advanced working knowledge of Aus-Spec and RMS design and construction specifications; in particular building design and construction guidelines and specifications (desirable). What We Offer
- Permanent full time, 35 hours per week.
- Salary from $123,919 to $139,228 per year (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 12% superannuation.
