About the Role: As a Chef/Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet required dietary and food service standards. Your key duties will include:
- Coordinating and preparing nutritious meals, including modified or specialised diets where required
- Assisting with meal preparation, plating, and service
- Conducting temperature checks for meals, cool rooms, and freezers
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Maintaining cleanliness and proper functioning of kitchen equipment
- Managing stock control, ordering, and food storage compliance What We’re Looking For: To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
- Minimum 6 months’ experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Current National Police Certificate (issued within the last 12 months)
- Up-to-date vaccinations as required
