Volunteer Community Transport Driver (Deniliquin)

Are you keen to support your local community? We're looking for reliable volunteer drivers to support the safe transport of clients to various appointments. Responsibilities Ensure the safe and comfortable transport of clients using a community transport vehicle. Destinations may include doctors' appointments, hospital/medical appointments, aged day care, social outings and shopping. Assist clients with mobility, i.e., walking or getting in or out of the vehicle or with seating. Monitor daily maintenance requirements of the designated vehicle and equipment, including cleaning. Uphold the Intereach values of partnership, leadership and social justice. About You We are seeking drivers who are good communicators and passionate about supporting the local community. Qualifications Well-developed understanding of the needs of Community Transport users including people with disabilities, frail aged, carers and children. Knowledge of the Deniliquin Local Government area. Demonstrated history of reliability and punctuality. Willingness to complete a full health assessment (cost reimbursed by Intereach). Provision of driver history. Current unrestricted driver's licence with a Passenger Transport Code "T" (NSW) or willingness to obtain one. Willingness to undertake a criminal record check. Current Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain one. Clearance to work in aged care (not listed on the Aged Care Register of Banning Order). Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one. Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain one. Required skill profession: Motor Vehicle Operators.
