Maintenance Supervisor (Kanmantoo)

PJL Group is a specialised Underground Hard Rock Maintenance and Asset Supply Company supporting mining operations at Kanmantoo, South Australia. The operation is located approximately 1 hour southeast of Adelaide CBD in the Adelaide Hills region. PJL is responsible for the supply and maintenance of a modern underground mining fleet operating 24/7 from dedicated onsite workshop facilities for our client. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team of trades personnel to safely, efficiently, and effectively deliver maintenance and servicing activities across underground mining equipment including Sandvik, Caterpillar, and Volvo fleet. This is a key leadership role focused on ensuring maintenance activities are completed to plan, supporting production requirements, and maintaining strong safety and operational standards. About You You are an experienced maintenance or mechanical professional with strong supervisory capability in mining, heavy industry, or similar environments. You are confident leading teams in a hands-on operational setting and are focused on safety, productivity, and teamwork.
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively
- Good communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels
- Basic computer literacy (email, reporting systems, maintenance software)
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance
- Mechanical or mining maintenance background highly regarded Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of maintenance trades personnel
- Provide technical direction, support, and mentoring to workshop staff
- Ensure maintenance and servicing activities are completed safely and on time
- Allocate work and manage daily maintenance priorities
- Support planning and execution of maintenance schedules
- Ensure compliance with site safety, environmental, and operational standards
- Monitor performance and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Liaise with supervisors, planners, and operations to meet production requirements
