Cold Store Operative Woodside

Woodside Cheese Wrights is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatch Operator to join our team. This role is crucial to ensuring that our premium artisan cheeses reach our customers in perfect condition. The Dispatch Operator will be responsible for packing and dispatching all cheese products, forklift operations (minor, this is predominantly a manual role) and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

Pack all cheese products for dispatch, ensuring each product is correctly picked, dated, and packed.

Maintain accurate records of batch codes and use-by dates.

Responsible for packaged goods stock rotation.

Occasionally operate a forklift to move and organise pallets and boxes.

Manage the dispatch of goods and coordinate with delivery services.

Assist in receiving and checking incoming goods, including ingredients and packaging materials.

Keep track of inventory levels and assist in regular audits.

Ensure all products meet quality standards and food safety requirements.

Requirements:

Ability to work in a cold setting (<5˚C) for long periods of the day

Attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Basic computer skills

Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Positive communication skills and physically fit for manual labour tasks

Valid forklift license or willing to obtain one

Food Safety and Hygiene training (not essential)
