**The Opportunity**

Nambour Selangor Private Hospital has an opportunity for an Assistant in Nursing to join our 17-bed General Surgical Ward and Day Surgery Unit.

Under the guidance and direction of our supportive clinicians, you will complete tasks to assist in providing safe and effective care for our patients. This will include, but is not limited to:

- Clinical assistance with patient ADL’s and tasks as delegated
- Assisting with patient transport and manual handling
- Effective cleaning of equipment including the preparation of beds
- Re-stocking ensuring the efficient running of the unit

**Your Key Skills and Experience**
- Certificate III in Health Care or similar
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- High level of interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively according to directions
- High level of customer service and excellent time management skills
- Understanding of infection control principles
- Prior experience in a Surgical Ward or Day Surgery Unit desirable

**Remuneration**

A base hourly rate ranging from $25.73
- $31.05 + superannuation and applicable penalties, based on experience level and qualifications. (QLD AWU Level 1-2).

**Requirements**:

- _Must provide a _**National Police** check conducted within the previous 12 months
