Your new role
- Manage production crews of a Coal Mine, providing leadership for operations and safe working environment
- Adhere to Site Safety Health Management System and Environmental and other statutory management plans
- Ensure all operations targets are met in line with safety standards
- Schedule and attend daily pre-start/safety meetings
- Perform and submit regular Secure Act Observations (SAOs) using site supplied documentation and reporting process
- Build and maintain high performing teams
- Monitor and evaluate production outcomes and maintain accurate records

What you'll need to succeed
- Current Mining Supervisor G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1, S2, S3) and G2
- Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain
- Previous similar leadership experience within an open cut operation
- Knowledge of current WHS legislation and statutory requirements
- Flexible and adaptable to different working environments, with strong problem-solving skills
- Must be a team player with the ability to mentor and lead other staff
- Strong written and communication skills
- High focus and demonstrated success in maintaining an excellent safety record for teams
- Competency using Microsoft Office Suite
