Primary Teacher Assistant

We are currently inviting Expressions of Interest from caring, enthusiastic and community-minded individuals to join our Primary School team as a Teacher Assistant in our Prep Centre. Two permanent part-time positions are available:
- 3 days per week
- 4 days per week This role is an chance to help shape a child's very first experience of school. We are seeking someone who brings warmth, patience and initiative to the classroom and understands the importance of creating positive relationships that help children flourish socially, emotionally and academically. About You You will
- Enjoy working with Prep-aged children
- Build nurturing and positive relationships
- Work collaboratively within a team environment
- Demonstrate patience, flexibility and initiative
- Support student wellbeing and engagement
- Communicate professionally with staff and families
- Hold a current Paid Blue Card About the Role Working closely with classroom teachers, Teacher Assistants help create engaging learning environments that support the academic, social and emotional growth of students. Key responsibilities include
- Assisting with classroom learning activities
- Supporting individual students and small groups
- Helping maintain an organised and inclusive classroom environment
- Encouraging positive behaviour and student engagement
- Assisting with classroom supervision and routines Hours and days may vary according to College needs. Qualifications & Requirements
- Current Queensland Paid Blue Card (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate III or IV in Education Support (or relevant experience)
