About the Role

We are seeking a confident and reliable Safety Officer / Crowd Controller to join the team at Commercial Hotel Nambour. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who brings a strong presence, sound judgement, and the ability to maintain a safe and welcoming setting for all staff and patrons.

You will work directly with venue managers to ensure smooth operations across busy service periods, events, and late-night trade.

This is more than just a security role — we are looking for someone who is proactive, team-oriented, and willing to assist across general hospitality duties when required.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a secure and secure environment for patrons and staff

Monitor venue entry and manage crowd control

De-escalate situations calmly and professionally

Work closely with venue managers during service and peak trade

Support bar operations through bar backing and glass collection

Assist with general floor duties and all-round hospitality tasks

Ensure compliance with venue policies

About You

Previous experience in security or crowd control (preferred)

Presence:

Strong communication skills and confident presence

Calm under pressure with the ability to read situations early

Team player mentality — willing to step in wherever needed

Professional presentation and reliable work ethic
