About the role Coronation House Dentist is seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Administrator to join our team in Nambour, Queensland Australia. As an experienced Dental administrator, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our dental practice. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating daily clinic operations
- Managing patient records and compliance documentation
- Overseeing appointment scheduling and recall systems
- Supporting practice efficiency and workflow coordination
- Liaising with patients regarding treatment plans and bookings
- Supporting inventory and administrative processes
- Assisting management with operational reporting and staff coordination
- Direct and oversee the delivery of medical and clinical services to ensure effective patient care and operational efficiency.
- Monitor service performance, patient outcomes and compliance requirements, implementing improvements where required.
- Manage workforce planning, staff allocation and resource utilisation.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, regulatory bodies and external stakeholders regarding clinical service delivery and compliance matters.
- Manage dental appointment book, following up on proposed treatments, maintaining patient recalls and performing active maintenance to ensure the appointment book is full and the dentists’ time is being used productively throughout the day
- Oversees the daily schedule of the Clinic and ensures peak patient flow and maximises the efficiency of all staff.
- Attends internal and off-site trainings, committees, meetings, and other relevant events as needed.
- Regular huddles with principal dentist/ owners and managers to discuss matters concerning administration, policies, procedure, and patient flow/experiences. Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in healthcare management or medical administration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Robust leadership, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing budgets, resources and operational performance.
- Sound understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation requirements and clinical governance principles.
- Must be capable of functioning with a high level of autonomy, and prioritising their work within established policies, guidelines and procedures.
