**The opportunity**

IFYS has an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join ‘The Old Church Youth Accommodation' and ‘Transitional Housing' program. The program provides young people aged 16 to 25 with safe accommodation, as well as services that enable positive education and employment outcomes, to help them build careers and transition into their own accommodation.

The Administration Assistant will undertake the day-to-day administration tasks and support property management activities for the Old Church Youth Accommodation program and the Transitional Housing program.

**Key objectives**:

- Act as a first point of contact for the program in person, via phone or electronic communications
- Assist the Coordinator with tenancy paperwork and maintaining client rent records in Chintaro
- Complete timely and accurate administrative tasks as required, including (but not limited to): data collection and entry, records maintenance and filing
- Support the on-boarding process of new staff members and volunteers in collaboration with the HR team
- Responsible for purchasing and ensuring accurate levels of stock and dealing with external suppliers
- Support the booking of rooms and external services

**Key requirements**:

- Demonstrated experience in administration support or similar
- Intermediate skill level with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
- Experience engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to work with initiative and autonomy
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to manage multiple and competing priorities

**Must hold or be willing to obtain if successful**:

- Valid Queensland Driver's License with no restrictions, and own reliable transport
- QLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)
- Licensed Care Service Suitability Check (LCS2)
- National Criminal History Check (a new check will be conducted through IFYS systems)
