Project Manager - Civil (Yandina)

About the role This is an exciting opportunity to join Carruthers Contracting as a Project Manager on some of South East Queensland's premier developments. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of civil construction projects across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay regions. Working closely with the wider project team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective completion of projects to the highest standards. What you'll be doing
- Develop and implement comprehensive project programs to meet deadlines and budgets
- Lead and assist supervisory staff with the coordination of multidisciplinary project teams, including subcontractors, to drive progress and troubleshoot issues
- Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed
- Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate with clients, the superintendent and other key stakeholders to deliver in a fashion that exceeds their requirements
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the civil construction industry, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and implement comprehensive project plans
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate cross-functional teams
- Proficient in the use of project management software and other relevant tools
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as engineering or construction management (Desired)
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
