We are recruiting Painting Apprentices on behalf of our members to join their growing teams. About the Role As a Painting Apprentice, you will work alongside qualified and skilled painters, gaining valuable hands‑on experience, mentoring, and ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship. Responsibilities
- Carrying out measurements and basic calculations
- Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
- Erecting and maintaining trestle and plank systems
- Handling painting and decorating materials
- Using painting and decorating tools and equipment
- Removing and replacing doors, windows, and components
- Preparing surfaces for painting
- Applying paint using brushes and rollers
- Applying textured coating finishes by brush, roller, and spray Requirements
- A genuine interest in undertaking a Painting Apprenticeship
- A White Card, or the ability to obtain one as soon as possible
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour
- A willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- A positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
- The ability to follow instructions and take direction
- Trustworthiness and motivation
- Preferred (but not essential): A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
