The Role: Baker

As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking items from our breakfast and lunch menu, ensuring all dishes meet our high standards for quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and bake a variety of products, including [e.g., pastries, cakes, cookies, laminated dough.
- Follow recipes and production schedules accurately to meet daily demands.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and sanitary baking area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Operate and maintain essential baking equipment (mixers, ovens, proofers, etc.).
- Contribute creative ideas for current products or seasonal offerings (a plus!).
- Ensure the consistent quality and presentation of all finished products.

Essential Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef, or similar role (2 years preferred).
- Solid understanding of baking techniques, ingredient functionality, and dough development.
- Ability to work early morning hours, and weekends as required.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to handle high-volume production.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy bags of ingredients (up to 25kg).
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well in a team.
- Must be available for early mornings and weekend shifts.
- Australian Working Rights: You must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid Australian Working Visa (evidence must be provided).

**Desirable Attributes**:

- Relevant culinary qualifications or trade certificate.
- Experience in a bakery environment is a bonus!
