**The Opportunity**
At The Kids Research Institute Australia, the community is at the heart of everything we do. We believe in working with our community to make a real difference for kids and families through our child health research.
The Kids Community Engagement team is committed to inclusive and impactful engagement with stakeholders, consumers, and community members to improve health outcomes. As part of this commitment, our Schools and Outreach Program aims to educate children about the world of science, research and health.
We now have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to provides administrative and operational support for the program. This role ensures the effective coordination, including program logistics, stakeholder communication, financial processing and data management.
Key responsibilities:
- Liaise with schools and other organisations to coordinate the bookings of the Schools and Outreach program.
- Respond to both internal and external enquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of program activities in Salesforce for reporting and tracking.
- Raise purchase orders and coordinate inventory procurement in accordance with Institute procedures.
- Support the successful planning of Institute outreach activities and events.
Based within Perth Children’s Hospital in Nedlands, this part-time (0.4 FTE) position will be offered for an initial 1-year period.
**About You**
The successful applicant will hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant field or have experience in administration/office support. You will also demonstrate:
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills including calendar management, record keeping and document preparation.
- Excellent technical skills using Microsoft office.
- A collaborative nature with the ability to work well within a team.
- High attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset.
