- 12 Months (Parental Leave Cover) Hollywood Private Hospital, supported by Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia Ltd, is expanding prostate cancer care nursing services available for men diagnosed with prostate cancer. Your role will involve, but is not limited to:
- Application of advanced knowledge and skills relating to prostate cancer to provide client focused support and education
- Collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team
- Provision of client-specific information
- Commitment to maintenance of professional standards
- Providing resources and information and expertise to others as required
- Completing required reports and data collection in a timely manner This role will work in partnership with the multidisciplinary team and outside agencies to promote and support quality care and outcomes for patients diagnosed with prostate cancer. - Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Demonstrated relevant advanced level of skill in cancer or urological nursing
- Demonstrated application of human resource principles at the local level
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills in a multidisciplinary context
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Proven leadership qualities
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Evidence of participation in and commitment to quality improvement processes and best practice principles Desirable requirements
- Relevant post-graduate qualifications or working towards same.
- Minimum 5 years post-registration experience
- A passion for patient teaching
