Company Accountant / Management Accountant The Opportunity A growing residential builder is looking for a hands‑on Company Accountant / Management Accountant to take full ownership of the finance function. Working closely with the owners, you’ll play a key role in driving financial performance, improving systems, and supporting strategic decisions. This is a high‑impact role for someone who thrives on structure, accountability, and getting things done properly. What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the end‑to‑end finance function
- Manage QBCC / MFR reporting & compliance
- Deliver monthly reporting, budgets & forecasts
- Take control of cashflow & forward planning
- Lead job costing, WIP & margin analysis
- Oversee BAS, IAS & statutory requirements
- Manage payroll
- Partner with external accountants & advisors
- Identify and drive process improvements
- Provide clear, commercial insights to leadership What You Bring
- Proven experience in residential construction / building
- Strong job costing & WIP reporting experience (essential)
- CA/CPA qualified (or working towards)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Systems experience (Xero, Databuild or similar)
- Confident communicator who can engage at all levels
- Leadership experience or the ability to step into it
- Highly organised, detail-driven, and accountable
