Experienced Dog Trainer — Assessments & Day Out Sessions …, City of Gold Coast

Hi. My name is Tim and I am the owner of Diverse Dogs Pty Ltd. Diverse Dogs is a professional dog training and development business servicing clients in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Northern NSW. Over the past four years I have built a strong reputation in the industry and the business is growing, therefore we are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated skilled dog trainer to assist with dog training for our clients in Gold Coast QLD region. You will be required to conduct dog training assessments and training sessions for a wide range of behaviors in accordance with our clients' needs and circumstances and in alignment with contemporary best practices for dog training and behaviour modification. You will also be responsible for delivering our popular 'Day Out' service which involves collection of 4 dogs from their homes for an outing including training and enrichment activity. Diverse Dogs adheres to a balanced and holistic approach to providing effective solutions for our clients needs. Formal qualifications in dog training or relevant industry experience with demonstrated competency in contemporary dog training and behavior theory and practice is essential. High level interpersonal and instructional skills for working with people is also essential. You must be able to demonstrate a nuanced ability to provide effective solutions for clients needs considering the interplay between both the dog and owners unique circumstances. Demonstrated skills in social media management and content creation will also be highly regarded. A minimum of 1-2 years of professional dog training experience is required for this position. Australian citizenship is required for this contractor position. This is a casual position to begin with, however there is scope to move to full time employment as you become more established. We are looking to build a team of professionals who would like to grow with the business. Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on relevant experience and ability.
