Job Description Avani Broadbeach Residences is expanding its housekeeping department and is seeking dedicated, detail‑oriented part‑time Housekeeping Assistants to maintain high standards of guest rooms. Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean guest rooms, including making beds, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine workplace.
- Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental standards.
- Use specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively, with all training and tools provided.
- Build strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to foster a positive, respectful work environment. Qualifications
- Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is highly regarded.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
- Good physical fitness and stamina, able to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Professional and clear communication skills for interacting with guests, team members, and contractors.
- Strong time‑management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Legal working rights within Australia or New Zealand. Shift Details
- Rotating roster from Monday to Sunday.
- Shifts start between 8:00am and 9:00am.
- Hourly rates (excluding superannuation):
- Monday ‑ Friday: $***** per hour
- Saturday: $***** per hour
