The Role An opportunity has become available for a Social Worker – Senior (Renal Services and Weekend Service) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13,000-strong team is on providing world‑class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will:
- Identify and assess the complex psychosocial needs of patients, their families and carers
- Apply differential assessment methods to identify clinical risk appropriate to the client group
- Provide high level clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors
- Assist the Social Work leadership team to ensure the effective functioning of the service
- Participate on relevant committees and contribute to service improvement activities About you To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in Social Work
- Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Evidence of vaccination or willingness to be vaccinated against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, pertussis and hepatitis B
- Completion of tuberculosis screening to determine any need for vaccination
- Blue Card or working‑with‑children check (cost covered by GCH)
- Disclosure of any serious discipline history
