- Stabilisation The Head of Engineering & Projects is to take full ownership of our project delivery and internal engineering functions. The role is a senior leadership position designed for an experienced engineer in thecivil constructionsector, specifically withinroad and pavement stabilisation. The position isn’t just managing one site; you are taking "full ownership" of the entire project engineering function and commercial outcomes across multiple projects and regions. You will balance high-level technical direction with the "boots on the ground" reality of site delivery, providing the commercial grit to drive profitability while mentoring the next generation of engineers. The Role You will be the bridge between technical excellence and commercial success. Your mission is to oversee our project engineering team, ensuring every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highestquality standards. You will mentor and develop our team of project engineers. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Delivery: Lead multiple projects from pre-construction to final handover. Commercial Ownership: Lead the strategy for claims, variations, cost control, and overall financial performance. Team Leadership: Mentor a high-performing team of Project Engineers, ensuring consistency and quality across all sites. Technical Authority: Drive project programming and methodologies, ensuring all works meet stringent Local Government, TfNSW and TMR requirements. Operational Synergy: Work closely with site operations to ensure practical, productive delivery outcomes. Customer Management: Build and maintain high-level relationships and trust with our diverse customer base. What You Bring You have a reputation for getting things done. You understand that a successful project requires both a sharp eye for a contract detail and a practical understanding of the field services. Experience: 8+ years in civil construction, with proven success as a Senior Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer. Sector Expertise: Specific experience inroad, pavement, or stabilisation projectsis essential. Technical Knowledge: Deep, hands-on experience working toLocal Government, TfNSW and TMR specifications. Commercial Acumen: Strong experience in managing claims, variations, and project invoicing. Leadership: A natural ability to lead, communicate, and organise teams across different geographical hubs. Location & Travel Coomera Qld . While office-based, you will regularly visit sites for critical milestones, start-ups, and close-out reviews to ensure excellence at every stage.
