A leading,long-established Gold Coast law firmfounded over 20 + years ago and operating across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sydney is looking for a senior corporate, commercial and property lawyer tostep into a leadership position with a clearly mapped path to Partner. You’ll head a team of corporate commercial lawyers, working alongside the Managing Partner and existing Partnership group, with genuine autonomy to lead the team and shape the practice. - Commercial transactions— business sales and acquisitions, shareholder and partnership agreements, commercial agreements
- Business structuring & restructuring, asset protection, trusts, business succession
- Property– commercial conveyancing, property development, leasing, mixed-use projects
- Niche specialty work– including childcare centre transactions, franchising, hospitality/liquor & gaming
- Ongoing corporate compliance, governance and trusted-adviser relationships with national and international clients The Leadership Role You will:
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of corporate commercial lawyers from graduates through to senior solicitors
- Run your own complex matters with full autonomy
- Drive technical excellence, file quality and team performance
- Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the Partnership on strategy, business development and team growth
- Build your own profile, client following with Partnership the next clear step About You
- 8+ years’ PAE– likely currently a Special Counsel, Senior Associate, or junior Partner ready to be more
- Solid corporate and commercial transactional foundation; property exposure highly regarded
- Demonstrated ability tolead and mentorlawyers – this is a leadership hire, not a senior fee earner hire
