Senior Communications Advisor – 7 month+ Contract (Nerang)

The Senior Communications Advisor will provide external engagement services for the South Coast Region on external community engagement, public affairs, correspondence, media relations, issues management, and internal and external stakeholder relationship management across a major infrastructure program. The role represents the department’s interests and its stakeholders in all forums that actively engage with members of the public.

Responsibilities

Implement active community engagement, community relations, and correspondence programs by supporting the delivery of consistent and externally facing engagement and stakeholder management to a broad range of community stakeholders across the region.

Lead and coach a small team of customer and stakeholder staff to produce explicit, concise and consistent high‑quality collateral and information.

Qualifications

A degree in communications, public relations or marketing or equivalent years of work experience.

Experience in major infrastructure project environments and social media competency. Government experience would be highly advantageous.
