B4SI SENIOR RESEARCHER – 6 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT Business for Societal Impact (B4SI) is the global standard in measuring and managing corporate social impact. We are seeking a Senior Researcher to join us on a 6 month fixed term contract , based in any of our Australian offices: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and additional 12+ locations. About The Role You will build close working relationships with a portfolio from our diverse and global network of businesses, providing expert social impact support and advising on the application of B4SI Frameworks and materials. The role will focus on supporting the management of B4SI growth in the APAC region. It will suit someone with an entrepreneurial way of working, enthusiasm for team collaboration and a passion for global sustainability. You will be client‑focused, work well in teams, with strong communication, creativity, and ability to work across time zones. Key Responsibilities
- Build close working relationships with clients, supporting the application of the B4SI Frameworks and ensuring maximum client satisfaction and retention. Support clients to reach their social impact objectives.
- Proactively support the growth of B4SI Network companies, onboarding new clients and identifying opportunities for continual improvement.
- Manage the member opportunity pipeline, tracking actions and maintaining visibility across the team.
- Handle membership management and administration (renewals, onboarding new members, updating payment systems, invoicing, maintaining accurate records).
- Support collection, review and analysis of data to provide recommendations in assurance processes.
- Engage directly with members during benchmarking, ensuring timely responses and high‑quality data.
- Maintain regular client contact, share updates, and support project management and rollout of B4SI services, including member ancillary projects.
- Support management and delivery of B4SI events and thought leadership; coordinate B4SI content via digital media platforms.
- Contribute to thought leadership, authoring blogs, articles and papers relevant to the B4SI network.
- Maintain a client‑focused approach, seeking business development opportunities and supporting network growth.
- Work effectively within a global team, supporting cross‑regional activities and requests. About You
- Strong analytical and research skills gained in work or academic career.
- Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to evaluate and consolidate key information.
- Direct experience in a client‑facing role, ideally with knowledge of social impact.
- Understanding of ESG/Corporate Responsibility/Sustainability with a focus on social impact.
- Experience with data analytics and data management to develop proactive uses.
- Strong time‑management and collaboration skills, managing multiple projects alongside client relationships.
- A personable, focused, skilled approach combined with proactivity and initiative.
- Strong communicator, capable of producing written reports and delivering oral presentations.
