Gold Coast QLD or Hunter / Newcastle NSW️ Permanent Full Time | Hybrid flexibilityCompetitive salary + bonus opportunityOur OpportunityPacific Smiles Group is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to play a key role in maintaining the integrity, accuracy and compliance of financial reporting across the Group. This is a new position due to continued company growth and expansion!Working closely with the Senior Finance leadership team, this role supports the delivery of timely, accurate financial information and insights that enable strong business decision-making and statutory compliance.This position is well suited to a technically strong accountant who enjoys owning financial processes, improving systems and partnering with stakeholders across a growing organisation.The role can be based in either our Gold Coast or Hunter / Newcastle office, with hybrid working flexibility available (this is not a fully remote working position).What You’ll Be DoingFinancial Accounting & Month-End ReportingOversee and ensure the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the general ledger across multiple entitiesReview and finalise the balance sheet reconciliations to subsidiary ledgers with supporting documentation in line with Group policiesLead the month-end close process , including e nsuring all accruals, journals and adjustments are captured accuratelyMaintain key financial registers including prepayments, credit cards and fixed assetsManage lease accounting in accordance with AASB16Support the preparation of monthly financial reporting and board commentaryIdentify and implement process improvements within financial reporting and controlsStatutory Compliance & AuditSupport Fringe Benefits Tax and annual income tax obligationsLead preparation of supporting documentation for half-year and annual external auditsEnsure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory and reporting requirementsBusiness Partnering & Financial AnalysisSupport financial analysis, reporting and insights to assist operational decision-makingInvestigate financial and budget variances and provide recommendationsAssist in budgeting, forecasting and financial modellingPartner with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and guidanceSystems & Process ImprovementSupport the ongoing development and documentation of finance policies and proceduresContribute to improvements in financial systems, reporting processes and data integrityAssist with finance-related projects and continuous improvement initiativesAbout YouWe are looking for a technically strong accountant with a proactive mindset who enjoys improving processes and contributing to a team-oriented finance team.You will bring:Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or CommerceCPA or CA qualification completed5+ years’ experience in financial accounting or a similar roleStrong experience with general ledger, reconciliations and financial reportingExperience working in a medium to large organisation (1000+ employees)Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory complianceAdvanced Excel skills and experience with financial systemsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilityHighly regarded:Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Pronto, SAP, Oracle)Exposure to Power BI or financial reporting toolsWhy Join Pacific Smiles Group?At Pacific Smiles Group, we are committed to improving the oral health of all Australians to the world’s best .You’ll join a collaborative and purpose-driven organisation where finance plays an important role in supporting business growth and operational excellence.You’ll benefit from:Hybrid working flexibilityCareer development within a national healthcare organisationExposure to complex multi-entity financial reportingOpportunities to contribute to process improvement and finance transformationA supportive and collaborative team environmentReady to Apply?If you're a motivated Senior Financial Accountant looking to make an impact within a growing healthcare organisation, we’d love to hear from you!Applications Close 26th March 2026Please Note : To work in Dental in QLD, you are required to hold a Blue Card for paid employment (at no cost to you).
