Senior Software Developer (City of Gold Coast)

The opportunity Mineral Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer Industrial IoT to join our Process Technology Development team. In this role you will design, develop and maintain embedded software for industrial IoT and operational technology devices primarily based on STM32 microcontroller platforms. You will work across the full product lifecycle including development, testing, integration and operational support while collaborating with electronics systems and technology specialists to deliver reliable, secure, and maintainable solutions for industrial environments. This role plays a key part in supporting innovative technology solutions used across Mineral Technologies equipment and operations globally. What we are looking for We are looking for an experienced embedded software engineer with a strong background in industrial automation embedded systems or operational technology environments. You will bring:
- Robust experience developing embedded firmware using C and C++.
- Experience working with STM32 or similar microcontroller-based platforms.
- Experience with realtime or multithreaded embedded applications.
- Exposure to industrial networking protocols MQTT and IoT connectivity.
- Experience debugging, testing and optimizing firmware directly on hardware.
- Solid understanding of embedded systems electronics fundamentals and hardware/software integration.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system-level issues and contribute to root cause analysis.
- Experience supporting firmware reliability diagnostics and system performance improvements. You will also have:
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A disciplined engineering approach with a strong focus on reliability, maintainability and operational safety.
