Business Development Manager – Yatala, Gold Coast QLD Over the past 25 years Stenhouse lifting has grown from ahumble beginningsas a family business into a leading provider of lifting solutions. In 2024, Stenhouse Lifting joined forces with Swedish industrial group, Axel Johnson International, becoming part of the Lifting Solutions Group. Witha strong foundationanda clear visionfor continued growth, we are now seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team and drive our business expansion efforts. The Role As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our client base throughout Southeast Queensland. Leveraging your strong sales acumen and relationship-building skills, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and achieving our business objectives. This position offers an exciting chance to drive business development initiatives and make a significant impact on our company’s success. Your Role Will Include:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Identify and target prospective clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, and industry referrals.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Conduct product/service presentations and demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features to potential customers.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and achieve sales targets.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals in a timely manner.
- Track and report sales performance metrics, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new opportunities for business growth.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions using CRM software. What You’ll Bring:
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales or account management.
- Valid unrestricted driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region as needed.
- You are willing to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
- You are very comfortableworking in a digital environment utilising Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams), ERP systems (ideally Business Central), and other digital tools.
- You have the legal right to work in Australia on a full time, permanent basis. What we are looking for- Nice to Have
- Working knowledge ofthe application of our products and services though experience in a “heavyindustry” that utilisesrigging, lifting, or height safetyequipment.
