Lecturer - Chinese Medicine (City of Gold Coast)

Endeavour College of Natural Health is the largest provider of complementary medicine higher education degrees in the Southern Hemisphere, with six campuses across Australia. Courses on offer are in the fields of Naturopathy, Nutritional and Dietetic Medicine, Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and Health Science. We look to transform passion into purpose and are committed to the future and success of natural health! Job Description Permanent, Part-time (30.4 hrs per week, 0.8 FTE or 4 days per week). Any 4 days, start and end times are flexible. 3 days must be on site. Reporting to the Academic Clinic Coordinator, the primary objective of this role is to be an integral member of the Academic department by providing teaching and learning of the highest standard to Endeavour whilst motivating, supporting and engaging students in meeting their learning needs to produce high quality future professionals. In this role you will:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across lectures, tutorials, practical classes, online sessions, workshops, field excursions and clinical settings using innovative, student‑centred approaches.
- Enhance course delivery by integrating current professional practice, industry experience and contemporary discipline knowledge.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment and provide regular, constructive feedback to support student progress and achievement of learning outcomes.
- Assess, mark and moderate student work in line with College requirements, policies and quality standards.
- Contribute to course and program development through feedback, industry consultation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in the scholarly, professional and community life of the College, including meetings, training, events and collaborative activities. Qualifications The successful candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree qualification in a relevant field to that in which will be taught (for Higher Education courses). It is preferable (but not necessary) to also hold a post‑graduate qualification in this relevant field
- Must have current registration with CMBA (Chinese Medicine Board of Australia) in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine divisions. Candidates with registration in all three divisions (Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs & Dispensing) are highly encouraged to apply The following skills and experience are also highly desirable:
- Demonstrated experience in tertiary level teaching including subject delivery and teaching groups with diverse backgrounds and demographic via a range of delivery modes
- Demonstrated experience working within the industry of expertise
- Experience marking assessments and providing feedback to students both verbally and verbally and in writing
- Communication skills
- strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
