Pursuit Strategist As a Pursuit Strategist, you will support major “must win and retain” opportunities across the Financial Services Sector and our New Zealand practice. Working alongside a Strategic Pursuit Leader, you will manage the operational execution of pursuit activities, including project and proposal management, and help deliver high‑quality, client‑centric proposals that drive successful outcomes. This is a 12‑month parental leave contract role through May ****, able to be performed from any of our EY offices across Australia or New Zealand. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Your Key Responsibilities
- Project manage the pursuit process for major opportunities, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality, on‑brand proposals that meet client expectations.
- Collaborate with pursuit teams and internal stakeholders to develop compelling value propositions and client deliverables throughout the pursuit cycle.
- Coach and support engagement teams, sharing best practices and contributing to the continuous improvement of pursuit activities across the business. Skills and Attributes for Success
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise, set, and meet deadlines on concurrent projects.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce persuasive, client‑focused content.
- Deep understanding of the design and production process, and proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
- 6+ years’ experience in a sales or marketing environment, including significant bid management or coordination experience (professional services experience favourable).
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and foster solid working relationships across teams.
- Creative skills and a growth mindset, with the ability to problem‑solve, show initiative, and adapt in fast‑paced environments.
- Experience coaching or mentoring others, and a commitment to sharing knowledge and best practice. Benefits
