- Join the CISS Development Program Lifeline Direct (LLD) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lifeline Australia. LLD focuses on supporting the development and ongoing implementation of suicide prevention and community wellbeing programs in the regions which we operate while looking for opportunities to grow Lifeline’s services in geographical areas where they do not currently exist. LLD encompasses Lifeline Centres in Hunter region, Central Coast, Eastern Suburbs-Bondi, New England North West, Northern NSW, Geelong and South West Victoria, Northern and Western Melbourne and Central Australia. Our specialised and targeted services operate nationally via a telehealth model. We are looking for experienced Crisis Supporters and ISS’s to join the national CISS team ( That’s Centralised ISS – we are part of the National Operations team ) to support our member centres across the country. When you are accepted to our CISS Development Program , you will become a backup to the CISS team , with transparent development pathways to enhance your skills and Lifeline ISS experience. It’s a fast paced professional environment, that is 100% digital, as we support Lifeline centres around Australia, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. You get to work from home and there are lots of opportunities to join us when it fits your schedule. How our CISS Development Program will develop your skills The benefits to you in joining the CISS Development Program is this is the talent development pathway to join the full CIISS team. You will gain national experience supporting over 32 Lifeline centres nationally. Be part of the national CISS team and access our dedicated training and professional development curriculum. Attend our professional development group supervisions, and team meetings. Desired Skills and Experience
- Ability to gain a detailed understanding of, and compliance with, Lifeline policy and procedure in relation to the delivery of Lifeline’s crisis support services,
- Ability to demonstrate competency in the understanding of, and application of the Lifeline Crisis Support Model,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Time management and prioritisation skills,
- Proficiency in the use of technology, and demonstrated competence in the IT skills required to meet all aspects of the role,
- Ability to understand and apply reflective practice, supervision and debriefing techniques as identified in Lifeline policy,
- Meeting minimum documented requirements regarding supervision and professional development,
- Compliance with record keeping procedures required in the role,
- Have self-care strategies in place and able to seek additional supervision or debriefing for oneself when needed,
