Scrum Master (Newcastle)

12 month contract for a Scrum Master to join a digital and business transformation program. Contract: 12-month contractRate: $786 + super per day

Your new roleAs a Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of digital initiatives by enabling high-performing Agile teams. Acting as a servant leader, you will champion Agile practices, proactively remove impediments, and cultivate a collaborative, results-driven team culture.Working within cross-functional teams, you will partner closely with DevOps engineers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and key stakeholders to deliver continuous value across digital platforms.This role requires an on-site presence in Newcastle three days per week.Please only apply if you are able to meet this requirement, as this is not a remote opportunity.

What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master within an Agile delivery environment
- Strong knowledge of Scrum frameworks and Agile principles
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and improve team performance
- Experience removing impediments and managing risks in quick-paced environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working within cross-functional delivery teams
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and problem-solving capabilities Desirable:
- Exposure to digital, data, or AI-driven initiatives
- Experience within higher education or complex organisations
- Scrum certification (CSM, PSM or equivalent)
- Experience driving Agile maturity and continuous improvement What you'll get in return
