Locum Pharmacist In Charge Western Australia

Client & Location Information

Picturesque, tight-knit farming town located in the central Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, about 230 km east-southeast of Perth (approximately 2.5 hours from Perth).

It serves as a major hub for grain (cereal cropping) and sheep farming.

The Pioneer Museum showcases the region's early settlement history, featuring a vast collection of vintage farm machinery, a blacksmith shop and an old one-room school house.

During spring (Sept and Oct) the town becomes a popular tourist stopover for its vibrant blankets of seasonal wildflowers.

Job Specification

Locum PIC, working with intern, dispensary and shop staff.

All Pharmacy assistants can dispense.

Duties will include but not be limited to dispensing to a small-to-medium script, trade, methadone, checking Webster's.

If accredited to vaccinate this will be required.

Open to one locum or locums for one week or longer, WA locums only.

Dates: Monday 20th July to Saturday 29th August .

Work Hours

Weekdays 9am to 5pm (no break)

Saturday 9am to 12pm (no break)

Experience Required

Registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA)

Lot dispense (Corum Explicit) preferred not essential

WA locums only

Sole pharmacist experience essential

Vaccination preferred but not essential

Methadone is essential

Salary & Advantages

Monday to Saturday: $70/hr + super

Travel

Mileage $0.99 per km from Perth or similar (no flights).

If locum does not have a car, there is a bus to Corrigin and the owner's car will be provided to drive to and from each day if required (manual or automatic).

Accommodation

Owner's home (farm property located 20 km east of town).

Four bedroom, air-conditioned, wood heater, WiFi.

Locum is able to bring family.

Note: Locum will be required to feed the two dogs one can of dog food per night (both medium-sized, well-behaved Kelpies).
