HunterNet Career Connections are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our host company in Kewdale as a Mechanical Apprentice.
This is an excellent chance for someone currently in their 2nd or 3rd year of a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade. However, applicants with no prior experience but a strong willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply and begin a rewarding career in the mechanical trades while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
Our host company is a global leader in their field, specialising in strata reinforcement and support solutions for the underground coal and metalliferous mining industries. They are known for their innovation, reliability, and commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist qualified tradespeople with general mechanical repairs
Assemble and disassemble mechanical components and structures
Support maintenance and breakdown activities on machinery
Prepare and organise parts for assembly from the warehouse
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
Strong willingness to learn and follow instructions
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
Effective communication and time management skills
Good mechanical aptitude and basic mathematical ability
Proactive approach to safety and maintaining a secure work setting
Ability to complete daily safety documentation
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
