Position: Cafe Restaurant Manager Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $83,000 plus superannuation per annum Location: Balcatta WA **** Employer: Dwariki Pty Ltd Trading as Seven Mile Bar Bistro About the Business Our client 7 Mile Bar Bistro is a well-established hospitality venue in Balcatta, Western Australia, offering a family-friendly bistro, lounge bar, sports bar, beer garden, and function spaces. Known for its locally sourced menu, steaks, ribs, burgers, extensive beverage selection, live entertainment, and customer-focused dining experience, the venue serves a broad customer base including families, casual diners, sports patrons, and private event guests. Position Summary The Café / Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bistro, restaurant, and hospitality services to ensure exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, profitability, and compliance with hospitality industry standards. The role requires strong leadership in staff supervision, food and beverage service management, customer relations, financial oversight, and venue coordination. Key Duties and Responsibilities: ·Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of 7 Mile Bar Bistro including the Bistro, Lounge Bar, Sports Bar, Beer Garden, and Function Spaces to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality service across all venue areas. ·Manage service delivery for dine-in customers, walk-in patrons, family dining, sports event crowds, takeaway services, online orders, and private or corporate functions while maintaining exceptional customer experiences. ·Supervise daily venue readiness including opening and closing procedures, staff presentation, seating arrangements, floor coordination, customer flow, and venue atmosphere to align with 7 Mile Bar Bistro's service standards. ·Ensure consistent quality and presentation of the venue's food and beverage offerings including steaks, ribs, burgers, daily specials, family meals, bar menus, and beverage packages ·Oversee customer reservations, large group bookings, private events, and special occasions including birthdays, celebrations, and corporate functions while ensuring tailored hospitality service. ·Coordinate and manage bar operations including responsible service of alcohol, beverage service standards, stock levels, tap beer service, wine and spirits offerings, and compliance with liquor licensing requirements. ·Monitor and support Sports Bar activities including live sports broadcasts, UFC events, TAB services, and promotional nights to maximise customer attendance and revenue opportunities. ·Plan, organise, and execute entertainment schedules, promotional campaigns, happy hours, family offers, and community events to strengthen customer engagement and repeat business. ·Recruit, induct, train, supervise, and roster front-of-house staff, supervisors, and hospitality team members to meet operational requirements across all service periods including lunch, dinner, weekends, and special events. ·Lead team performance by maintaining high customer service standards, monitoring staff productivity, implementing service training, and fostering a positive and efficient workplace culture. ·Manage budgets, daily revenue, labour costs, supplier relationships, stock ordering, and inventory control for food, beverages, and event supplies to support business profitability. ·Analyse sales trends, event performance, promotional success, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for revenue growth, service improvements, and operational efficiency. ·Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues professionally while implementing effective solutions to maintain customer satisfaction and protect business reputation. ·Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, food safety standards, hygiene requirements, liquor licensing laws, RSA obligations, and venue security procedures. ·Maintain cleanliness, presentation, safety, and operational standards across all customer areas including dining spaces, bar facilities, outdoor areas, and function rooms. ·Prepare operational reports, sales summaries, staffing updates, and performance reviews for senior management while contributing to strategic venue growth and continuous improvement. Requirements: ·AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma or higher qualification ·At least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed ·At least 1–2 years of relevant management experience in a café, restaurant, pub, or hospitality venue. ·Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. ·Experience in budgeting, stock management, and customer service excellence. ·Knowledge of Australian hospitality regulations, food safety, and liquor compliance. ·Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
