Administrative Assistant – Local Government (Short‑Term Contract) Your new company A regional local government authority in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide short‑term support, under a five-month contract. This role would suit someone with a strong administrative background who is comfortable working in a local government or regulatory environment and enjoys providing customer-focused support. Your new role
- Assist with email correspondence and ensure enquiries are directed to appropriate technical officers.
- Respond to customer enquiries via email and in person
- Support administrative functions across the Development Services team
- Conduct site visits as required
- Provide general administrative and coordination support to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations
What you'll need to succeed
- Local Government experience or strong understanding of the LGA environment (preferred)
- Proven administrative skills with high attention to detail
- Strong customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
Confidence using Microsoft Office and standard office systems
